Bioluminescent Forest

The projection mapping "bioluminescent forest" is made by artists Friedrich van Schoor and Tarek Mawad.
The artists spent six weeks in the forest fascinated by the silence and natural occurrences in nature, especially the phenomenon "bioluminescense". They personified the forest to accentuate the natural beauty by creating luring luminescent plants and glowing magical mushrooms that speaks volumes to any visitor that enters the minds of the artists through viewing "bioluminescent forest".

little robot

I´m very proud to mention that my work was published in the gallery section of 3D Artist magazine issue 53.

I wanted to create an image within 8 hours before leaving Saarbrücken to visit my family. Here is the result. It is my Christmas present for my little sister.

MOG! (work in progress...)

To get an idea of the mood and lighting that I want to achieve I choosed a nice perspective and painted over a raw rendering.

This is Ed. He´s a Mog!
A special species which has never been discovered before.
He belongs to the category of amphibians.
Mogs aren´t very intelligent.
They love to do  whatever they want and they are not afraid of anything but human beings.
When he´s in a bad mood he starts yelling and when he´s happy he slurps. He loves slurping...
There are several reasons why nobody has seen him yet.
But he exists!
And...he is living at your home.. behind the walls,
underneath  your hardwood floor and in the kitchen sink.
This is his favourite location. Especially when it´s not cleaned up.
So..his party begins, when you leave the room messed up...

Utopya- an interactive kinect game

Utopya - ( Geßner, Kohler, Mawad , Neurohr , Schardt , Van Schoor, Woroschilow) from Media Art and Design Studiengang on Vimeo.

This project "UTOPYA" is an interactive game that works with two (xbox) kinects. The gameplay works if you stay in front of this big screen so that you get identified by the kinect like you can see in the video.
If you touch some trigger points that are hidden on different places the characters and the environment near this point will start moving.
